Summer time craziness!

Summer is in full swing around here and we are as busy as ever! I am hoping things will slow down a bit soon, but with this crew of mine I do not see that happening. I have neglected updating the blog for far to long, so you get four updates all at once. Be sure to scroll down to see everything that is going on...we have been busy having some serious fun!

Update number four:

Happy 4th of July!

What a fun time we had helping Maya celebrate her first big all American holiday. She loved the pancake breakfast at the church and walking in our small neighborhood parade with her dad. She really loved the swimming (to escape the 106* heat!) and the homemade peach and strawberry ice cream. She was not really sure about the fireworks and kept pretty close to mom with her hands over her eyes for the ones that made a lot of noise. It was a great HOT day.

below: All American Matthew and the teens and tweens

Water games galore for the hot afternoon sun...above the old guys take on the young guys in a serious game of Water Basketball

Below: Maya and Bekka enjoy the pool

Maya thought corn on the cob was the best ever

All tuckered out after the parade. I love this picture of my all American sweetie pie!

Wonderful updates. Gorgeous family. Your heartfelt entries about your son's birthday and Maya's 18 month milestone brought tears to my eyes. Our house is a whirlwind around here, too, during summer and it is good and tiring and I wouldn't trade it! Of course, the routine of the school year will be appreciated as well. Great pictures. Thanks for sharing. And seeing that sweet Maya makes me feel so good, as I was part of the yahoo group when you had Gotcha Day. That will be us some day, and I'm thrilled. :-)
